Women’s Soccer Ends Season With 2-1 Loss at Wilmington

Goldey-Beacom's season that provided hope for the future ended with a 2-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss at Wilmington in Newark, DE.

The season was the first for new coach Mitch Kazanjian, who joined the squad a mere weeks before its commencement and got a great deal of performance and effort from the student-athletes.

Senior Nikki Cashin (Ridley, PA) on the day made seven saves and closed her standout career fifth in team history with 200.  She also ended fifth in team annals with a 1.70 goals-against average.

Seniors Lexi Coppola, Bella Davidoski, Angela Lee, Jenna Campagna, Tori Nilles, Kira Cohen, Sia Diakos, Alex Lowry and Alyssa Petulla also had stellar careers in which they helped the Lightning make two appearances in the CACC Tournament.

Sophomore Lexy Yeager (West Deptford, NJ) today scored for her third goal of the season, ending third on the squad.  Ryley Dixon (Pilesgrove, NJ) had an outstanding freshman campaign in pacing the squad with six goals and 18 points.
