Men’s Soccer Dealt 4-1 Loss by Shepherd

Goldey-Beacom men's soccer was within reach of forcing a tie to end the game, but gave up two late second half goals that secured the 4-1 victory for Shepherd.


The first half of the game saw one shot find the back of the net for Shepherd in the 33rd minute of play by Justin Langon, assisted by Aaron Sullivan. 
The second goal for Shepherd in the 50th minute of play was also by Langon, this time assisted by Asong Nkemanjong. 

The Lightning got themselves on the board in the 64th minute when freshman Ogün Ünal (Frankfurt, Germany) found senior Tiwalade Ogunfadebo in the middle of the box for his first goal of the season. The Lightning had several opportunities to tie the game, but were unable to get any shots past the Rams goalkeeper, Aidan Houck, who finished with six saves.


Faustin Ndagije scored two late goals for Shepherd in the 84th and 87th minute to lead the Rams to their fifth victory. The first goal was assisted by Dylan Shepherd and the second was unassisted. 


Goldey-Beacom plays their final regular season game on Thursday against Wilmington (DE) at 3pm in Newark, DE.
