Goldey-Beacom women's basketball was unable to comeback from an early deficit despite strong efforts in the second quarter and was handed a 75-56 loss at Kutztown.
Kutztown stepped on the gas early, and ended the first quarter with a 22-13 lead. Goldey-Beacom was unable to find its rhythm throughout the game.
The Lightning were led by senior Julie Kulesza (Wilmington, DE), who finished with 13 points, and by sophomore Katie Yoder (Dublin, PA), who had 12 points and four assists. Senior Azuri Abraham (Phillipsburg, N.J.) led in rebounds for Goldey-Beacom, with seven.
Kutztown was led by Naia Pulliam, who finished with 21 points.
Goldey-Beacom plays at home on Monday against Millersville at 6pm.
