Goldey-Beacom men's basketball was unable to come back from a halftime deficit and was defeated by a very skilled Millersville team, 79-50.
The Lightning were able to get the game within two off of a layup by junior Shane Taylor (Ellicott City, Md.) with seven minutes left in the first half, but unfortunately that was as close as Goldey-Beacom could get before Millersville ran away with the game en route to its third straight victory.
The Lightning were led by junior Zayon Marsh (Maplewood, N.J.), who finished with 16 points and two blocks. Freshman Anthony Akande (Newark, N.J.) added 10 points and seven rebounds of his own. Senior David Robinson (Philadelphia, PA) led GBC in rebounds with nine.
Millersville was led by Aiden Gair, who finished with 19 points and Drew Stover, who had 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Goldey-Beacom plays on the road on Saturday at Mercy in Dobbs Ferry, NY at 4pm.
