A couple of solid individual performances on the soccer pitch paved the way for sophomore Mariah McQueen (Baltimore, MD) and senior Eduardo Coimbra (Curitiba, Brazil) to make the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.
McQueen scored twice Tuesday in Goldey-Beacom's 3-3 tie vs. Georgian Court. She tallied in the 57th minute to give the Lightning a 2-1 lead and then scored in the 88th minute for the last goal of the match.
McQueen has enjoyed solid play in what has been a brief career. Â She has 10 goals and 21 points over 24 games after notching seven goals and 15 points a season ago.
Coimbra closed with a goal and an assist Wednesday in Goldey-Beacom's 3-3 tie against Georgian Court. He assisted on the marker in the 67th minute that made it 2-2 and notched the go-ahead tally in the 70th minute.
It continues to be a solid run for the 2019 and 2021 second team All-CACC pick. He now is fifth in program history with 22 assists, sixth with 54 points and tied for seventh with 16 goals.
The women's team is back in action Tuesday at Queens (NY) for a 7:00 pm in Flushing, NY. Both teams on Saturday are at Dominican (NY) with the women's contest at noon and the men's game at 2:30 pm.
