Goldey-Beacom showed toughness and continue to display improvement despite a 5-2 setback against Chestnut Hill in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Junior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) and sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) began strongly for the Lightning, capturing a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles. However, the excitement came in No. 3 and No. 4 singles with both rubbers finishing with a tie break as the final two singles matches of the day. Sophomore Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) notched a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) win. After climbing back in the first set from 2-5 down, junior Macy Hendin-Walker (Ipswich, England) was pushed to her limits and was repaid with a 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 1-0 (13-11) win.
 
Goldey-Beacom travels to Dominican (NY) on Wednesday for Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play at 3:00 pm in Monsey, NY.
