Goldey-Beacom traveled to Princeton, NJ for its second meet of the season to compete in the Princeton Invitational.
In the women's competition, sophomore Karla Chardon (Pens Grove, NJ) took third place in the 60-meter dash in 8.08 seconds. Also competing in the 200-meter race, Chardon placed second in her section in 27.22 seconds.
In the field events, junior Savannah Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) placed ninth in the high jump with a best height of 1.40 meters. In the shot put, senior Alexia Cornish (Milford, DE) placed fifth with a throw of 10.87 meters and, with a distance of 8.92m, freshman Madison McGowan (Bristow, VA) placed ninth. Cornish closed out her events with a 14th-place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 8.84 meters.
On the men's side, freshman Kedar Reid (Bear, DE) placed third in his section of the 200m dash with a time of 24.27. The 400m dash saw sophomore Hezakiah Ali-Bentley (Dover, DE) and junior Emmanuel Otsyina, (Aston, PA) placing first in their respective sections with times of 53.19 and 55.86.
The 4×400-meter relay team took first place with a time of 3:42.04
In the field events, sophomore Derek Ongeri (Smyrna, DE) placed second in the high jump at 1.85 meters. Freshman Jayvon Laguerre (Milford, DE) followed close behind in third place with a jump of 1.80 meters.
Sophomore Manny Carranza (Milford, DE) saw a fifth-place finish in the triple jump by covering 12.28 meters.
In the shot put, freshman Sebastien Lacroix (Hamilton, NJ) placed fourth in his section with a throw of 13.18 meters.
Goldey-Beacom on Friday travels to State Island, NY to compete in the Fasttrack Last Chance Invitational, with events beginning at 1:00 pm.
