Eduardo Coimbra Named D2 CCA Men’s Soccer First Team All-East Region

Goldey-Beacom men's soccer senior Eduardo Coimbra (Curitiba, Brazil) has been an explosive dynamo during his time with the program and that earned him being tabbed first team D2 Conference Commissioners Association All-East Region.
 
His tremendous scoring and passing ability are major reasons why he was picked first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, in addition to his second team all-league honors in 2019 and 2021.  His play helped the Lightning compete in the CACC Tournament for a second time during his stay.
 
One of the most exciting players in any sport to watch, Coimbra is 49th in the nation with a career-best 24 points, 60th with a personal-high nine goals and 60th with six assists.  Buoyed by scoring twice October 14 at Bloomfield and notching a five-game points streak in September, Coimbra is sixth in the league in points, seventh in assists and seventh in goals.
 
Coimbra graduates tied for fourth in team history with 22 goals, fourth outright with 23 assists and fifth with 67 points.  His 24 points this season are tied for the 10th-best, single-season mark in program annals.
 
Since he was a first-team selection, Coimbra now becomes eligible for consideration to the All-America squad.
 
Goldey-Beacom (6-10-2) rallied from a zero-win season last year and picked to end 11th in this year's preseason coaches poll to close eighth and make the CACC quarterfinals.  GBC ended the regular season with five results in its last eight league contests and overall amassed eight multi-goal games.
