Goldey-Beacom continued to play against some of the best from the East Region and was handed a 7-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss by Wilmington (DE) at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington.

One of the continued stories for the Lightning (2-6, 1-6 CACC) remains the emerging play of sophomore Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador), who on Saturday moved up to No. 3 singles after notching five victories at fourth singles. She played with determination, as always, only to be handed a 6-1, 6-1 setback by Alva Norberg.

Junior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) saw her match at No. 1 singles require a second-set tiebreak before she was dealt a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) loss by Kushi Khandoji.

Sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) saw a competitive first set in her match at second singles before dropping a 6-3, 6-0 rubber to Jess Purdy for the Wildcats (5-1, 5-1).

Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday is on the road to face Chestnut Hill, beginning at 2:00 pm in Philadelphia.
