Goldey-Beacom got a pair of major announcements from the Women's Tennis team with Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) picked the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year and junior Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) tabbed second team all-league.

Quinonez has shown tremendous play all season and her future is more than bright as she looks to help get Goldey-Beacom back on the national stage.  She owns a 6-4 singles record that included winning four of her first five matches at No. 4 singles and earning a promotion to third singles earlier this month.

She is the first for Goldey-Beacom to get this honor since Fredrika Regner was so chosen in 2017.

Mova also has been a major factor in the team's uprise, playing the entire season at first singles and teamed with sophomore Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) at first doubles.  She is 5-5 in singles that includes wins in three of her last four matches and four of her first five doubles matches.

Mova's singles mark includes a win over Bipasha Mehn from Dominican (NY), who was just tabbed the league's Player of the Year.

Goldey-Beacom all season has been playing against top-flight competition, seeking to get back to the level that saw it make the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet 16" in 2019.  The Lightning have won two CACC championships and have played in the NCAA Tournament eight times.
