Women's Tennis Faces Setback at Jefferson

Goldey-Beacom returned to the court against Jefferson and faced a 7-0 loss in Philadelphia, PA.
 
Goldey-Beacom began the doubles matches with a 6-3 win by junior Maria Bruno (Maracay, Venezuela) and freshman Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine). Sophmore Macy Hendin-Walker (Ipswich, England) and freshman Jess Sanzo (Bristol, England) battled, but were dealt a 4-6 loss. 

The Rams continued their momentum into the singles matches, making the Lightning unable to clinch a singles win. Freshman Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) battled with her opponent at second singles, finishing 1-6, 7-6, 7-6.

Goldey-Beacom hosts Wilmington on Wednesday at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE. The matches are set to begin at 1pm.
