Goldey-Beacom Men's & Women's Track and Field throwers competed on the first day of the Widener Invitational on Friday in Chester, PA.
On the Women's side, junior Alexis Harrison (Millville, N.J.) led the way, securing a sixth-place finish in the discus throw at 35.82 meters and a seventh-place finish in the shot put at 11.56 meters.
Junior Tiarah Martin (Federalsburg, MD.) placed 19th in the shot put at 8.90 meters. Sophomore Damia White (Bridgeton, N.J.) took 23rd place in the shot put at 8.14 meters.
For the Men, freshman Jacob Wells (New Port Richey, Fla.) secured a third-place finish in the javelin throw at 52.06 meters.
Junior Eli Taylor (Smyrna, Del.) placed 19th in the shot put at 12.81 meters and 27th place in the discus throw at 34.60 meters.
Junior Jayden Velazquez (Middletown, Del.) closed in 58th place in the Men's shot put at 9.14 meters. Freshman Jacob Wells (New Port Richey, Fla.) placed 59th in the Men's shot put at 9.00 meters.
Freshman Daniel Gordon Brown finished 60th place in the Men's shot put at 8.92 meters.
Goldey-Beacom returns for day two on Saturday as both teams take the field and track at 9am.
