In game one, the Lightning took a 1-0 lead in the first inning after a single to the pitcher by senior Chrissy Jordan (Pasadena, MD.) scored senior Jaeda Henriquez (Jersey City, N.J.).
The Eagles tied the game, 1-1, in the second inning on an error by the third baseman that scored Kasey Jusino.
Goldey-Beacom took the lead in the fifth inning after a double to center field by junior Carly Setting (Middletown, Del.), scored junior Bianca Newsom (Edison, N.J.), 2-1.
A single to right field by Jordan, scored Setting to make it 3-1.
Post put up two runs in the seventh inning to tie the game with a run capped by a double to right field by Allyson Wallauer to score Bailee Zaccaro, 3-3.
The Lightning took the lead with two runs in the eighth inning on an error by the center fielder, that scored freshman Bri Snover (Claymont, Del.) for a 4-3 score.
A bunt single by Newsom scored sophomore Hannah Davis (Bethel, Del.) in the final 5-3 victory.
Setting recorded three hits, Jordan and Davis each a pair of hits. Jordan two RBI.
Freshman Morgan McLane (Clayton, Del.) recorded the win (5-2), throwing another complete game, striking out five for the Lightning.
Goldey-Beacom completed the two-game sweep with a single run in the seventh inning for the victory. An RBI single to center field by sophomore Nicole Makin (Edgewater Park, N.J.) with the bases loaded scored junior Kayla Vaillancourt (Edgewater, MD) for the final 1-0 win.
Makin and Vaillancourt each recorded two hits.
Sophomore Gwen Safin (Stroudsburg, PA.) threw a complete game (4-5), walking one for the Lightning (16-13, 4-6 CACC).
Goldey-Beacom hosts Washington Adventist on Wednesday in a non-conference double header matchup starting at 3pm.
