Track & Field Sees Six Student-Athletes Garner Seven Weekly Awards

Another successful week in the world of Goldey-Beacom track & field saw its teams win seven weekly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference among six student-athletes.
 
Sophomore Camilla Flagg (Mardela Springs, MD) was the Women's Track Athlete of the Week, Juanita Wiggins (Hampton, VA) took home Women's Track Rookie of the Week, junior Alexis Harrison (Millville, NJ) was the Women's Field Athlete of the Week, Savannah Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) grabbed Women's Field Rookie of the Week, Jacob Wells (New Port Richey, FL) took home both Men's Field Athlete and Rookie of the Week with A'mair Buffaloe (Prospect Park, NJ) named the Men's Track Rookie of the Week.
 
Flagg notched a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run at 2:35.08 Saturday at the Monarch Invitational.  Wiggins at the same meet took fourth place in the 100-meter dash in 13.34 seconds.
 
Harrison secured a first-place finish in the shot put at 11.37 meters and took second place in the discus throw at 35.26 meters.  Boyce placed second in the high jump at 1.47 meters.
 
Wells secured a first-place finish in the javelin throw at 53.60 meters, also at the Monarch Invitational.  Buffaloe secured a pair of second-place finishes, running the 200-meter dash in 23.19 seconds and the 400-meter dash at 53.58 seconds.
 
Goldey-Beacom returns to action April 2 at the Millersville Metrics, beginning at 9:30 am.
