Men's Basketball Claims 84-75 Victory at Bloomsburg



Freshman Zayon Marsh (Maplewood, NJ) continued his impressive play, leading Goldey-Beacom to an 84-75 victory over Bloomsburg in Bloomsburg, PA.
 
The Lightning closed the first half with a 10-2 scoring run, with six points coming from junior Zack Oree (Newark, NJ), to take them into halftime leading 41-33.
 
The Huskies put pressure on the Lightning in the beginning of the second half, going on a 10-2 run to tie the game at 43-43. With 10 minutes left, a Huskies free throw brought the score to 59-55. From there, the Huskies struggled to stay in the contest. The Lightning claimed a 10-point lead with four minutes left, following a made three-pointer from sophomore Tyshon Judge (Merchantville, NJ).
 
Marsh finished with 26 points on 11-from-18 shooting and six rebounds. Oree added 20 points and seven rebounds with Judge getting 13 points and four rebounds for GBC (2-2).
 
Louie Wild closed with 20 points on 8-for-13 shooting, Ash Kemble added 17 points and 11 rebounds with Desmond Freeman netting 14 points for the Huskies (0-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom heads to Kutztown, PA on Tuesday to face Kutztown at 7:30pm.
