Goldey-Beacom returned to Delcastle Tennis Center in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play against a strong Jefferson side, falling 7-0.

The Lightning dropped the doubles point after three losses. Freshmen Jess Sanzo (Bristol, England) and Alex Kepa (Nottingham, England) battled, falling short 6-3.

The Rams proved too strong for the Lightning in singles, taking wins in all six matches.  Despite the losses, the Lightning saw strong play.  At No. 4 singles, Sanzo took her first set to seven points, before falling 5-7, 1-6.

At No. 1 singles, freshman Elizabeth Mova (Sevastopol, Ukraine) played solidly, falling 4-6, 3-6 against Natalie Wagner.  Fellow freshman Zehra Canbaz (Denizli, Turkey) fell just short against Noelle Treuzel 3-6, 4-6.

Goldey-Beacom faces Wilmington (DE) on Wednesday in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Delcastle Tennis Center, beginning at 2pm.
