(2021 fall schedule)

Goldey-Beacom's women's tennis program is rich with tradition and the squad looks to continue that success with the announcement of its 2021 fall schedule.

GBC on September 11 returns to the court for its first match in 548 days, hosting Molloy at the Delcastle Tennis Center.  The squad then opens play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference September 25 at home against Jefferson.

The team again is at Delcastle on October 2 to host Dominican (NY) before its first road match three days later at Chestnut Hill.  GBC then is at Delcastle on October 9 against University of the Sciences and four days later vs. Wilmington (DE) before ending the regular season October 16 at Post.

Championship weekend of the CACC Tournament will take place October 22-23 at Delcastle.

A major focal point for the team in 2021-22 is sophomore Imane Van Veen (Paris, France), who announced her presence in 2019-20 by being named first team All-CACC and to the league's all-tournament team.  A gifted player who ended the abbreviated spring ranked 11th in the East Region, Van Veen went 12-2 that year in singles, 8-4 in doubles and 10-1 in singles against league opponents.

Van Veen enters the fall with an 11-match singles winning streak.

Sophomore Maria Bruno (Maracay, Venezuela) teamed with Van Veen to go 8-3 at first doubles last season after notching a 12-7 doubles mark and an 11-6 singles record the year before.  A dominant player who gives it all during every point, Bruno looks to regain her singles form after playing No. 3 and No. 4 during the historic 2018-19 campaign.

Also looked at is sophomore Elin Anderson (Conwy, Wales), who has seen a great deal of action at third singles and once again will be a key member of the squad.  She ended last season with six singles victories after getting seven the year prior and also notched a five-match winning streak.

Sophomore Kristin Radeke (Bremen, Germany) has recorded 16 singles victories during her time in Pike Creek, including a 5-0 mark during abbreviated play last season.  She has been one of the Lightning's most consistently strong players and will look to pick up critical wins this year.

Bernard Flowers takes over as head coach after serving as an assistant during the shortened 2019-20 season.  He also serves as the Director of Tennis Operations at Delcastle.

Goldey-Beacom has played in the NCAA Tournament eight times, which included a run in 2019 to the 'Sweet 16."  The won the 2016 and 2017 CACC title as part of its 12 consecutive years it has competed in the conference tournament.  The unit from 2016-18 won three consecutive CACC regular-season crowns, finishing third in the East Region all three years and in the top 50 nationally in the latter two.
