Men's Track & Field Gets Three Selected for CACC Weekly Awards

Goldey-Beacom's track & field teams received more awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) being named the Men's Track Rookie of the Week, Jordan Cheaton (Middletown, DE) tabbed the Men's Field Rookie of the Week and sophomore Eli Taylor (Smyrna, DE) making the Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Landvik-Larsen last Friday took first place in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:33.58 at the Wolverine Last Chance Meet.  He also placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:25.88.
 
Cheaton grabbed third place in the shot put at 12.11 meters, fifth place in the discus throw at 41.22 meters and seventh in the javelin at 28.80 meters.
 
Taylor tied for first place in the shot put throwing 13.22 meters at the Wolverine Last Chance Meet.
 
In just the program's second competitive season, Goldey-Beacom has seen both of its men's and women's teams succeed with many already qualifying for the CACC Championship.
 
The men's championship is Friday, May 14 and the women go on Sunday, May 16 with both taking place in Lakewood, NJ.
