Thoughts from Coach Bill Streets
On turning things around in game two: "The lay-off hurt us. We have been off for 20 days since we have had a game. You can practice all you want but the problem is you have to see the live pitching. I think in the first game, they were kind of behind themselves but second game we rallied while a couple people coming off the bench stepped up and did their job. Chrissy went the whole seven innings and did an outstanding job."
On the overall play early this season: "Well, we are trying to become a good tight knit team but again you can practice but after a while it grows on you. Unfortunately, this is the new norm. We are just hoping to continue to resume the season and turning into a successful one and reach the (CACC Tournament)."
On getting ready to face Jefferson: "Keep it together as a team. Keep up the positivity. Kids at this age have a tendency to get down on themselves. We just try to keep them pumped up all of the time. That can be the toughest job sometimes is try to keep them pumped up."
