Goldey-Beacom College had its turn taking part in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's "Courage Through Adversity' series.

The series looks at various student-athletes from each of the league's 14 schools, each telling their stories of how adversity was overcome and how the student-athletes each rose to the challenge.

"Our student-athletes have a rich diversity of experiences they bring to our campus," Associate Athletic Director Jeremy Benoit said. "Whether it's a career-altering injury, the untimely death of a loved one or a natural disaster striking your home country, adversity does not discriminate. The young Lightning men and women featured in this series are stronger now for having faced these difficulties and surpassing them."

The student-athletes celebrated include volleyball junior Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), men's soccer junior Ethan Maguire (Sydney, Australia), volleyball junior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) and women's tennis sophomore Maria Bruno (Maracay, Venezuela).

Each of the stories are listed below.
