Volleyball Splits Two Matches at Ramfest



Goldey-Beacom ended its time at Ramfest with a 3-0 victory (25-22, 25-23, 25-18) over Pace after opening the day with a 3-1 loss (25-23, 13-25, 23-25, 19-25) against West Chester in West Chester, PA.
 
Versus Pace, GBC came through in three hard-fought stanzas by gaining a 31-29 kills advantage. This included 14 kills in the second set and limiting Pace to a -.053 hitting percentage in the third.
 
Junior Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ) ended with 11 kills and 11 digs, sophomore Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) totaled 22 assists and 10 digs with junior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) getting 10 digs.
 
Sandra Yang recorded 10 kills for the Setters (0-2).
 
Against West Chester, Goldey-Beacom (1-2) gained a 10-9 kills edge in the tightly contested opening set.  GBC ended the set on a 6-1 run in which Chelsey James (Cherry Hill, NJ) and fellow sophomore Julia Syrdahl (Basking Ridge, NJ) each had a kill.
 
But the Golden Rams pulled away after that, recording 15 kills in the third set and 11 in the finale.
 
Przywara ended with 17 kills and 12 digs, Spendlove recorded 27 assists and Roman Concepcion totaled 17 digs.
 
Julie Vreeswyk had 13 kills with Jillian Borderding amassing 35 assists for the Golden Rams (3-0).
 
Goldey-Beacom next Monday is back on the road to face Bridgeport for a 4:00 pm match.
