(2019 schedule)

Goldey-Beacom's volleyball program has been on the rise the last few years and hopes the ascent continues against what shapes to be a challenging 2019 schedule, which was just announced.

The Lightning again open the season at Ramfest on the campus of West Chester against the host on September 6 and continuing the next day vs. Pace and Virginia Union.  After a September 9 visit to Bridgeport, GBC then heads to the Kutztown Classic for four matches from September 13-14.

Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-play gets underway September 18 at Jefferson and continues September 24 with the home opener against Wilmington (DE).

Other key dates include playing reigning CACC-champion Holy Family twice in a two-week stretch.  The squads meet October 10 in Pike Creek and October 24 in Northeast Philadelphia.

The regular-season finale takes place November 16 at home against Concordia (NY) as part of a doubleheader with the men's basketball team, which later in the day plays Franklin Pierce.

The top four teams in each of the two divisions (North and South) advance to the CACC Tournament.  The tournament begins November 19 with the semifinals and final later that week at Holy Family.

A major factor in the Lightning equation is junior outside hitter Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ), who is as solid a player as any in the region.  A dynamic competitor and one of the region's most dangerous at the net, the 2016 CACC Rookie of the Year was picked third team All-CACC in 2018 after closing 33rd in the nation with 3.84 kills per set, 45th with 4.25 points per set and 52nd with 415 kills (third best in team history).

Sophomore Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) made an immediate impact at right side and her dominating play helped her to be picked third team all-league.  A vital piece to the Lightning's puzzle, Boyce ended the 2018 campaign 57th in the country with 44 aces, 64th with 0.41 aces per set, 82nd with 4.0 points per set, 92nd with 3.46 kills per set and fifth in the league with 374 kills (sixth best in team history).

Sophomore Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) is the leader as the number one setter after closing last season 17th in the CACC with 345 assists and 19th with 3.45 assists per set.  Junior Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) was granted a medical redshirt following injury, ending 2017 sixth in the country with 60 aces and 10th with 0.54 aces per set.
