(2019 schedule)

Goldey-Beacom this fall looks to get back to its winning ways as the unit released its 2019 schedule.

Fans will not have to travel far for the first three contests.  The season opens September 5 against a tough region foe in the District of Columbia and continues two days later against Millersville, both in Newark at Wilmington University.  The first home game is September 9 against Shepherd.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener is September 21 at Caldwell before a two-game homestand September 24 against Chestnut Hill and four days later vs. Nyack.

A tough stretch comes from early to mid-October, when the Lightning play four out of five games on the road.  Key matchups in that span include a road tilt October 8 at Georgian Court and an always-tough battle October 22 at Jefferson.

Goldey-Beacom then will have the teams from last year's CACC final to close the regular season.  GBC visits runner-up Wilmington (DE) on October 30 and hosts reigning-champion Post on November 2.

The league's top eight teams compete in the CACC Tournament, which begins November 11.  The semifinals and final take place later that week in Waterbury, CT.

Graduation losses will give the 2019 Lightning a different look.  One key player back in the fold is senior Nicolas Jaramillo (Cali, Colombia), who once again looks to provide key play at midfield.  He closed last season 11th in the league with two game-winning goals, 22nd with five goals, 22nd with 13 points and 27th with three assists.

Junior Eduardo Coimbra (Curitiba, Brazil) parlayed a solid fall campaign into an impressive spring season and looks for more of the same in 2019.  He ended the regular season tied for third on the team with six points.

Junior Cole Lewis (Middletown, DE) looks to grab the starting nod at goalkeeper after closing 18th in the league with 21 saves.

Goldey-Beacom last season endured a tough campaign one year after winning the CACC championship.  Highlights included coming back for results against Felician and Jefferson along with a 3-0 triumph at Post.
