In game one, Felician took the early lead in the top of the first inning when C.J. Apacible stole third and scored off a fielding error by third base.
Goldey-Beacom answered in the bottom of the first inning when Jess Lusk (Victoria, B.C.) hit single RBI sacrifice fly to right field.
The Lightning took the lead in the bottom of the second inning when Noelle Gramlich (Bordentown, N.J.) grounded out to first which allowed for Jaeda Henriquez (Hoboken, N.J.) to score. Goldey-Beacom had a 2-1 lead after the bottom of the third inning.
In the top of the fourth inning, Mia Montoya walked for an RBI. Apacible then hit a triple RBI double to right field to give Felician a 5-2 lead.
Felician added another run in the top of the fifth inning when Monica Laverty scored off a wild pitch.
Goldey-Beacom battled back in the bottom of the fifth inning when Kasey Goshorn (Salisbury, Md.) hit a single RBI to left field. Lusk continued the momentum with a double RBI double to center field. The Lightning closed the gap to make it a 6-5 game.
Felician went on to score another run in the top of the sixth inning when Steph Donah hit an RBI double to left field to win the game 7-5.
Trinity Garcia (9-9) pitched all seven innings with five strike outs and only allowed five runs for Felician.
Zoe Lockwood (Chesapeake City, Md.) went 1-for-2 with two runs and Gramlich went 1-for-2 with one run for the Lightning in game one.
In game two, Felician went up early in the top of the first inning when Bella Bradian hit an RBI single to left field. Montoya followed with an RBI double to left field to put Felician up 2-0.
Jackie Ribaudo reached on a fielding error by the second base which allowed for Montoya and Bradian to score giving Felician a 4-0 lead at the top of the first inning.
Goldey-Beacom fought back in the bottom of the first inning when Dianna Gatto (Jefferson, N.J.) hit an RBI down the right line.
Felician went on to score six more runs to win game two 10-1 in five innings.
Lexi Thomas (Westville, N.J.) went 1-for-1, and Lusk and Gatto both went 1-for-2 for the Lightning in game two.
Goldey-Beacom is back in action on Thursday for a doubleheader against Wilmington at 2:30pm in Wilmington, DE.
