Kyle Elliot’s Career Night Lifts Men’s Basketball to 83-75 Triumph Over Adelphi

Junior Kyle Elliot (Rahway, NJ) had his best night as a collegiate athlete by scoring a career-best 32 points and not missing a shot in Goldey-Beacom's 83-75 victory over Adelphi at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.

Elliot shot 13-of-13 from the line, 3-of-3 from three-point range and 3-for-3 from the line that included completing a four-point play.  He did this over just 29 minutes and also had four rebounds.

Elliot was one of the major keys in the second half by scoring 19 points, shooting 7-of-7 from the field with two 3-pointers and three free throws.  This all helped his squad shoot 50 percent (15-of-30) from the field and 15-for-17 from the line.

Freshman Nazim Derry (Atlantic City, NJ) scored 14 points in the half on 5-of-9 shooting and also had five rebounds.

Goldey-Beacom in the half took control with an 11-3 run over a three-minute span that gave it a 78-66 lead with 3:32 remaining.  Elliot and Derry scored four points apiece.

Elliot was far from the lone contributor to the win.  Derry ended with a season-best 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting with eight rebounds, freshman Jesiah West (Elizabeth, NJ) scored 12 points with sophomore Marcellus Livingston (Linden, NJ) adding 10 for the Lightning (1-5).
