Salome Lang Named to CACC Women’s Tennis Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Salome Lang (Panazol, France) has made a huge impact in Pike Creek for the Women's Tennis team and was celebrated by being picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll.

Lang went 3-0 at first singles last week, recording all straight-set triumphs in league play. Of the six sets she won, she only dropped more than three games in one of the sets.

Lang has played great in the early going for the Lightning, owning a 3-1 record. This also includes a first-round appearance in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional along with her league victories.

Her play has helped Goldey-Beacom (3-0, 3-0 CACC) move into a four-way tie for first place in the CACC. GBC won the conference in 2016 and 2017, has captured the regular-season crown each of the last three seasons and last year played in the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet 16."

Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday hosts University of the Sciences in a battle of first-place teams, beginning at 3:00 pm at Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington.
