Goldey-Beacom continued to take steps towards winning a third straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title with another league win over Wilmington University, 4-3, at Sanford School in Hockessin, DE.

The Lightning took the doubles point, which started with sophomores Lotte Lesscher y Post (Arnhem, Netherlands) and Catarina Zheng (Oporto, Portugal), who got a 6-1 victory over Laura Gil and Andrea Ribalta. Junior Anna Hortelano Pey (Castelldefels, Spain) and freshman Kristin Radeke (Bremen, Germany) clinched the point with a 6-4 win over Tess Paya and Marie Rondot.

Lesscher y Post recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win over Begona Gomar at first singles. Zheng fought for a 6-3, 6-3 win over Anushka Sathe at No. 2 singles. Hortelano Pey recorded a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Marie Rondot which got the Lightning three points to clinch the win.

This was the 19th consecutive victory in a CACC regular-season match for Goldey-Beacom (3-0, 2-0 CACC).

Goldey-Beacom is on the road Friday vs. Caldwell in Caldwell, NJ at 3:30 PM.
