Volleyball Handed 3-1 Loss at Felician



Goldey-Beacom grabbed the opening set at Felician, but could not continue the positive vibes in a 3-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss (25-22, 22-25, 17-25, 15-25) in Rutherford, NJ.
 
GBC in the opening set recorded 11 kills to grab the early edge, thanks to five kills from sophomore Lindsay Przywara (Williamstown, NJ).  Felician in the second set recorded 14 kills to level things and then grabbed the final two sets by committing just a combined seven attack errors.
 
Przywara notched a season-best 21 kills and now has 508 career, good for 10th place on the school's career list.  She also notched 11 digs for her third straight double-double and fourth this season.
 
Freshman Shayla Boyce (Somerdale, NJ) recorded 13 kills and 11 digs for her third double-double of the campaign, senior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) dished 20 assists and freshman Autumn Spendlove (Las Vegas, NV) added 10 for the Lightning (2-11, 0-4 CACC).
 
Kahea Aea pounded 17 kills to go with 11 digs, Sierra Gallagher amassed 21 assists, Charlotte Greek had 11 and Baylei Furman recorded 13 digs for the Golden Falcons (3-5, 2-2).
 
Goldey-Beacom next Wednesday is home for a CACC South Division match against Jefferson, which begins at 7:00 pm.
