Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Speaks’ Eight-Point Day Propels Women’s Soccer to Rout of Lincoln

Freshman Alanna Speaks (Wilmington, DE) did her thing again, this time recording three goals and two assists in Goldey-Beacom's 9-1 triumph over Lincoln (PA) at Nancy Churchman Sawin Field in Wilmington, DE.

Speaks' second hat trick of the season and personal-best eight points gives her a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-leading 10 goals and 22 points.  The goals already have her in a tie for sixth among the school's single-season leaders and the points have her just outside the top 10.

Sophie Woods (Manchester, England), fellow junior Cliona Crammond (Wicklow, Ireland), Lauren Larmanis (Sicklerville, NJ), fellow junior Sophie Greenwood (Burnley, England), Taylor Owen (East Pennsboro, PA) and fellow freshman Ali Henriquez (Hoboken, NJ) all scored for the Lightning as part of a 40-7 shots edge.  GBC now has outscored its opponents 29-10 this season.

Senior Elena Power (Glassboro, NJ) had two assists with Larmanis, sophomore Line Kristoffersen (Bergen, Norway), freshman Rose Benjamin (North East, MD) and junior Juana Henao (Bogota, Colombia) all getting one for the Lightning (7-1-1), who continue their best start in school history.

Taylor Brookins scored for the Lions (3-6) and Lena Rodriguez made 14 saves.

Goldey-Beacom on Saturday entertains Post at 1:00 pm, followed by the men's contest between the same teams at 3:30 pm.
