Volleyball Handed 3-1 Loss at Jefferson



Goldey-Beacom continued its play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with a 3-1 loss (19-25, 23-25, 25-18, 19-25) at Jefferson in Philadelphia, PA.
 
The Lightning in the third set got back into the match with 10 kills and just nine errors, forcing the Rams into nine errors.  GBC had 12 kills in the fourth set, but Jefferson won it with just four errors.
 
Freshman Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD) recorded 14 kills and 10 digs for her seventh double-double of the year, Jax Babezki (Warrington, PA) also had 14 kills, fellow senior Jada Canteen (Newark, DE) recorded 10 and freshman Sydney Fulton (Wilmington, DE) dished 32 assists.  Sophomore Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) notched 23 digs and freshman Morgan Andrews (Wilmington, DE) added 12 for the Lightning (2-9, 1-2 CACC).
 
Mariah Cadzow posted 15 kills and 10 digs, Courtney Wensel had 12 and 12 with Alexandra Harrington getting 33 assists and 14 digs for the Rams (8-5, 3-0).
 
Goldey-Beacom on Saturday is home against Felician at noon.
