Volleyball Receives a Battle in 3-0 Win Over Concordia (NY)

Goldey-Beacom got more than what it bargained for against a gritty Concordia (NY) squad, working hard to record a 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win (25-15, 25-16, 28-26) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.

The Lightning rolled in the first set with a 16-7 kills edge and then got a 13-8 advantage in the second.  The Clippers fought off six match points in the finale, but the home side finally put away things with a .200 hitting percentage.

Freshman Breanne Haley (Elkton, MD) pounded 24 kills, one short of a season high, to go with a .447 hitting percentage for Goldey-Beacom (8-14, 7-6 CACC), which ended with a 41-30 kills advantage.  Freshman Sydney Fulton (Wilmington, DE) dished 22 assists, junior Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) had 16, freshman Morgan Andrews (Wilmington, DE) recorded 11 digs and sophomore Makinsie Balderson (Fairfax, VA) added 10.
