Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s Soccer Stays Red Hot With 3-0 Triumph at Georgian Court

Junior Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) tied the school's career shutouts mark and freshman Ethan Maguire (Sydney, Australia) amassed four points for Goldey-Beacom, which left Lakewood, NJ with a big 3-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win at Georgian Court.

Junior Chahin Aghrim (Bonn, Germany), the NCAA Division II leader in assists entering today, added to his goal total in the 15th minute.  He took a great pass in the box from Maguire and slipped it home for his seventh goal of the season.

His 13th career goal puts him tied for 10th in school history and his 45 points, thanks to his 10th assist of the season later in the match, keep him in sixth place.

Maguire then got in the goal column in the 25th minute for his third of the campaign and a 2-0 contest.  Taking a long pass from freshman Nicholas Ladeira (Johannesburg, South Africa), Maguire took a dribble and buried it inside the top left corner.

Junior Callum Flynn (Guildford, England) then put the game out of reach in the 64th minute, netting his fifth goal of the season off Maguire's pass to make it 3-0.

It was more than enough for Bismilla, who recorded four saves in posting his ninth career shutout, tying Peter Ferrente (2002) for the team's top mark.  Maguire's career points day and his three shots helped the Lightning overcome a 15-11 shots disadvantage.

The Lightning's seven-game unbeaten streak (6-0-1) is their longest since a school-record seven-game winning streak in 2001.

Javel Dawkins attempted three shots and Yianni Kavarakas made three saves for the Lions.

Goldey-Beacom (10-3-1, 6-2-1 CACC), which notched its 12th double-digit victory total in school history, entered the match leading NCAA Division II in goals and points.  It now vaults Georgian Court (8-4-2, 5-3-1) into a tie for second place with Bloomfield (6-1-1).

Goldey-Beacom is home Saturday against Dominican (NY) for a 3:00 pm match.  The women's game between the same teams precedes it at 12:30 pm.
