Women’s Basketball Handed 92-67 Loss by Wilmington (DE)



Goldey-Beacom was breached for a key second-half run by Wilmington (DE) and could not recover in a 92-67 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Wildcats owned a 42-30 lead in the first minute of the second half before using a 13-2 run for a 54-32 contest with 5:41 remaining.  Ebonee Dixon scored six points in that span and Tenicia Spence added four.
 
Wilmington dominated things in the second half, outscoring GBC 51-39 by limiting the home side to only 31 percent shooting (10-of-32).  Macy Robinson was on fire in the half, getting 18 points and 11 rebounds with Spence netting 14 points.
 
Robinson finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds, Spence netted 25 points, Dixon poured in 13 and Lindsay Bradford added 10 and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (14-13, 9-9 CACC), who shot 42 percent (29-of-69) from the field with eight 3-pointers.
 
Sophomore Lexi Bruno (Millville, NJ) and freshman Tanner Turner-Rush (Harrisburg, PA) scored 17 points apiece with sophomore Britani Bryson (Hampton, VA) getting 10 and 15 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the campaign for the Lightning (8-19, 8-10), who shot 31 percent (22-of-70) from the floor.
 
Goldey-Beacom ends the season Tuesday at Georgian Court, starting at 6:00 pm.
