Women’s Soccer Falls in Second OT at Pittsburgh-Johnstown



Senior Tatiana Marshall (Camden, DE) scored to level the match, but Goldey-Beacom gave up a goal in the second overtime and was handed a 2-1 loss at Pittsburgh-Johnstown in Johnstown, PA.
 
Pitt-Johnstown grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 74th minute when Khori Weaver cleaned up Sam Bahorich's corner kick for her first goal of the season.
 
GBC tied things one minute later when Marshall picked up a rebound of a shot from junior Amy Runciman (Luton, England) and netted her fourth career goal.
 
The Lightning had four shots in the first seven minutes after regulation, but could not find the back of the net.  The Mountain Cats then ended the contest 3:04 into the second overtime when Bahorich was sent on a breakaway from Kyra Watkins and netted her third goal of the season.
 
Seniors Jane Grimley (Franklinville, NJ) and Tanner Turner-Rush (Harrisburg, PA) attempted four shots apiece with senior Cindell Aguirre (El Paso, TX) making four saves for the Lightning (12-5-1).
 
Bahorich took four shots and Leigh Appolonia came up with nine saves for the Mountain Cats (1-16-1).
 
Goldey-Beacom is the number three seed for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament and will host sixth-seeded Holy Family on Monday at 2:00 pm.  The game will take place at the Hockessin Soccer Club in Hockessin, DE.
