Cross Country Teams Compete at the CACC Championships

Goldey-Beacom once again went against formidable competition at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships with the men closing ninth and the women ending 13th in Philadelphia, PA.

Junior Victor Rueda-Jimenez (Milford, DE) paced the Lightning's men's side by closing 27th in 29:48.4. Freshman Adam Quann (Pennsville, NJ) was 31st in 29:59.7, senior Rudy Braxton (Bear, DE) ended 46th in 31:48.0 and junior Justin Morris (Abingdon, MD) closed 65th in 34:28.0.

Senior Ludric Francis (Smyrna, DE) ended 73rd in 35:03.2 and junior Solomon Cox (Rehobeth Beach, DE) was 77th in 39:36.1 over the 8,000-meter course.

The men amassed 231 points and Wilmington (DE) won the title with 43.

Goldey-Beacom's women were fronted by junior Jordan Dodson (Port Deposit, MD), who ended 40th in 22:13.5. Junior Crystal McCollum (Elkton, MD) was 51st in 23:17.1, freshman Katie Jensen (Selbyville, DE) concluded 61st in 24:11.3 and sophomore Chelby McCall (Chesapeake City, MD) was 80th in 28:03.5.

Kayla Lucas (Port Deposit, MD) finished 85th in 32:25.6 and fellow sophomore Julianna Wasiluk (Reisterstown, MD) was 87th in 32:58.0 over 5,000 meters.

The Lightning closed with 317 points and Philadelphia U. garnered the crown with 40.
