Men’s Cross Country Wins Golden Ram Invitational and the Women Close Fourth

Goldey-Beacom's Men's Cross Country team captured the Golden Ram Invitational and the women ended fourth at Unionville High School in Kennett Square, PA.
 
Junior John Ferry (Rising Sun, MD) had yet another stellar race, closing the five-kilometer journey second in 16:09.1.  It is his fourth top-10 showing of the year and second top-two appearance.
 
Freshman Eerik Nou Wihlborg (Helsingborg, Sweden) closed third in 16:13.7, senior Kosiani Dunkley (Saint Catherine, Jamaica) was seventh in 16:24.6, sophomore Manny Carreno (New Castle, DE) ended 11th in 17:02.7 and freshman Raine Siwicki (Martinsville, VA) finished 21st in 18:10.3
 
GBC scored 41 points with Division I Coppin State ending second at 58 points.
 
Senior Haley Schofield (Wilmington, DE) closed fourth in the women's race, running the five kilometers in 21:26.2.  It was her second top-10 appearance of the season.
 
Lara Zinsou-Bode (Reinbek, Germany) was 16th in 24:14.9, fellow freshman Anna Pissarotti ended 16th in 24:22.5, sophomore Aiyanna Adams (Pittsburgh, PA) was 25th in 25:33.7 and senior Kaylah Hill (Brooklyn, NY) closed 37th in 28:38.9.
 
The women finished with 88 points and Lincoln (PA) won with 37.
 
Goldey-Beacom on October 26 will be at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.  The women's championship is at 9:00 am and the men's championship is at 10:00 am.
