Volleyball Drops 3-0 Contest at Chestnut Hill



Goldey-Beacom tried its best to overcome a near-flawless effort from Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference-foe Chestnut Hill, but in the end was dealt a 3-0 loss (17-25, 12-25, 17-25) in Philadelphia, PA.
 
The Griffins established momentum in the first set with 13 kills and a stunning .321 hitting percentage.  The home team in the second set only had two errors to go with a .455 percentage before getting 10 kills in the finale.
 
Freshman Olivia Florence (Glen Allen, VA) had 22 assists, junior Grace McCarthy (Middletown, DE) amassed 13 digs, senior Mackenzie Wilson (Wilmington, DE) had 11 and Innocent Early (Newark, NJ) closed with eight kills for the Lightning (3-5, 0-2 CACC).
 
Rachel Biro had 10 kills and a .304 percentage, Madison McBride notched 11 digs and eight kills, Peyton Reno had 10 digs, Regina Trabosh posted nine and Emily Koehler closed with eight kills for Chestnut Hill, which totaled 11 aces (1-9, 1-0).
 
Goldey-Beacom on Saturday plays its third match in five days as it visits Post for a 1:00 pm CACC contest in Waterbury, CT.
