Women’s Tennis Records 6-2 Win Over Molloy

Goldey-Beacom won all of the contested matches and posted its first victory of the season, 6-2 over Molloy at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
Pauline Rozet (Malakoff, France) notched an 8-0 win over Megan Scali at second singles, fellow junior Nina Sengl (Puchheim, Germany) posted an 8-0 victory at No. 3 singles over Emily Rosen, Merel Ann van Zanten (Velserbroek, Netherlands) got an 8-0 win at fourth singles over Christie Catterson and fellow freshman Manuela Cornejo (Waldbronn, Germany) recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win at fifth singles over Tiffany Nagasawa.
 
Sengl's win at singles was her 24th career, moving her into a tie for ninth place in school history with Maria Victoria (2013-15).
 
Sengl and van Zanten got an 8-0 triumph at first doubles over Scali and Tatiana Rajaona with Rozet and junior Francesca Beg (Westbury, England) recording an 8-0 win vs. Rosen and Catterson at No. 2 doubles.
 
GBC (1-1) forfeited the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches to Molloy (0-4) due to injuries.
 
Goldey-Beacom is home Wednesday against Holy Family at 3:30 pm.
