It will be very difficult for Goldey-Beacom's women's tennis team to duplicate the success from last season, but it will try as the 2015 fall schedule is complete with some very familiar opponents.

The season begins with its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener September 11 at Post and continues the next day with the home opener vs. Molloy.  The Lightning once again will play their home matches at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington.

Things then get interesting with two anticipated matches over a five-day stretch.  Goldey-Beacom on September 26 hosts Concordia (NY) in a rematch of last year's CACC final and on the 30th visits Chestnut Hill.  The Lightning upended the Griffins three times last season that included the CACC semifinals and the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the former's first head-to-head victory in this tournament in any sport.

Homecoming Weekend sees GBC host Caldwell on October 2 before league plays ends four days later at home vs. University of the Sciences.  Goldey-Beacom ends the regular season October 18 at New York Tech looking for revenge of last season's 5-0 loss in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

With only eight teams competing in the CACC this fall, the conference tournament at Chestnut Hill only will consist of four teams.  The semifinals are October 24 and the final is the next day.

Goldey-Beacom (18-5, 7-1 CACC) last season had an historic campaign that went beyond the aforementioned NCAA Tournament win.  The squad broke the school record for most wins, tied the school record with 10 shutouts, set a new team mark with four consecutive shutouts, ended the season ranked 31st in the country, played in the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in the last six years and competed in the CACC final a fourth time in the last six years.

Junior Amina Mrad (Berlin, Germany) had a standout campaign, tying the school record with 15 doubles wins and posting a 17-2 singles record that is tied for the second-most victories in school history.  She is just outside the school's top-10 in both categories.

Junior Nina Sengl (Puchheim, Germany) also returns following her amazing performance last season, amassing 14 doubles wins that are tied for fourth best in school history.  She is sixth in school history with 25 doubles victories and tied for 10th with 22 singles wins.
