(2015 Spring Schedule)

Goldey-Beacom has announced its 2015 spring schedule for what should be another exciting and successful campaign.

The Lightning play their first four matches on the road, starting March 18 at West Chester.  The squad also visits Seton Hill on March 20, California (PA) the next day and Shippensburg on March 25.

GBC has two home matches this spring, entertaining the District of Columbia on March 27 and Bowie State on April 1.  Both matches begin at 2:00 pm and both will be held at the Delcastle Tennis Center in Wilmington.

The regular season ends April 10-12 at the Bloomsburg Duals against opponents to be determined.  The Lightning then hope to advance to the NCAA Regional, which takes place May 2-5.  The squad has competed in this event four of the last five seasons.

GBC is coming off another solid fall in which it went 11-2 overall, 7-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and played in the league final for the fourth time in the last six years.

In singles, senior Stephanie Puentes Robinson (Bogota, Colombia) notched a 12-1 record that included 9-0 at No. 3 singles and sophomore Amina Mrad (Berlin, Germany) went 10-1, including 5-0 at No. 5 singles.  Senior Filipa Correia (Monte Estoril, Portugal) went 10-2 overall and sophomore Maria Victoria (Totana, Spain) had an 11-3 mark that included 3-0 at the top spot.

In doubles, Nina Sengl went 10-4, Puentes Robinson had a 9-2 mark with both Victoria and senior Anastasia Melnikova (Vladivostok, Russia) each getting eight wins.

Victoria was named first team All-CACC last fall after being tabbed Honorable Mention as a freshman.  Puentes Robinson was tabbed second team all-conference after being picked first team each of her first three seasons, including Player of the Year as a freshman and sophomore.  Mrad and freshman Laura Moreno (Murcia, Spain) all were picked second team All-CACC and Joe Kissel was tabbed Coach of the Year for the second time.
