Suhail Bismilla Named CACC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

Goldey-Beacom's Suhail Bismilla (Johannesburg, South Africa) punctuated a solid freshman campaign by being named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week for men's soccer.

Bismilla played one of the best games of his young career with seven saves, including four in the second half to help Goldey-Beacom post a massive 3-0 victory Thursday over Holy Family. The match, in essence, was a playoff game as the win propelled GBC into the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2009.

Bismilla ended his season with 72 saves that already have him eighth in school history for a career. He helped GBC (7-12) get to the quarterfinals before the squad was a dealt a 4-0 loss Monday at top-seeded Wilmington (DE).
