Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Handed 4-0 Loss at Georgian Court



Goldey-Beacom ran into a red-hot squad in first-place Georgian Court and left with a 4-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference setback in Lakewood, NJ.
 
The Lions (10-1-1, 7-0 CACC) entered on a 10-game unbeaten streak and showed their mettle in the sixth minute with the game's first goal.  Tuere Chisholm-Thomas corralled a pass from Laura Nelson a buried a chip from 10 yards.
 
Georgian Court made it 2-0 with 2:51 left in the first half when Kaitlyn Salisbury took a feed from Rosa Franze on the left side and put one inside the top right corner.  The Lions increased the margin to 3-0 in the 62nd minute as Lizzy Kroon headed in a pass from Tayler Bramley.
 
Georgian Court ended the scoring in the 84th minute when Bramley headed in her seventh goal of the year off Chisholm-Thomas' assist.
 
Franze attempted six shots and Casey O'Connor ended with two saves for the Lions, who closed with a 23-8 shots edge.
 
Sophomore Amy Runciman (Luton, England), a member of this week's CACC Weekly Honor Roll, had three shots and junior Cindell Aguirre (El Paso, TX) amassed four saves for the Lightning (2-7, 1-5).
 
Goldey-Beacom is on the road Saturday at Concordia (NY) as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.  The women's match starts at noon, followed by the men's contest at 2:15 pm.
