Cross Country Teams Partake in the Paul Short Invitational

Goldey-Beacom fought the rain and wind in participating in the prestigious Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA.

Senior Aaron Easter (Elkton, MD), the reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Runner of the Week, again ran great in closing the 8,000-meter race 24th in 26:51. Senior Logan Jones (Frederick, MD) was 84th in 27:49, sophomore Victor Rueda-Jimenez (Milford, DE) closed in 28:38 and junior Rudy Braxton (Bear, DE) stopped the clock in 30:27.

Sophomore Jordan Dodson (Port Deposit, MD) again paced the Lightning's women, closing the 6,000-meter race in 25:18. Sophomore Crystal McCollum (Elkton, MD) ended in 26:18, senior Sarah Grzybowski (Wilmington, DE) ran in 29:11 and freshman Chelby McCall (Chesapeake, City, MD) ended in 31:48 in her first collegiate race.

The squads return to action next Saturday in the Jack St. Clair Memorial at Belmont Plateau. The women's race in Philadelphia goes at 12:15 pm and the men compete at 1:00 pm.
