Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball Handed 87-75 Loss by Felician

Goldey-Beacom could not build on second-half momentum and was sent to a crushing 87-75 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference loss by Felician at the Jones Center.

A close game most of the second half became interesting when GBC senior Joey Getz (Philadelphia, PA) canned a 3-pointer with 5:45 left, bringing his squad within 67-65.

But Felician (3-14, 3-8 CACC) scored the next seven points to open a 74-65 cushion with 4:20 remaining.  A.J. Kemp converted a three-point play sandwiched in between J.R. Pringley scoring four points.

The Lightning did not have an answer after that and could not overcome the Golden Falcons' torrid shooting.  The visitors shot 56 percent (16-of-29) from the floor in the second half that included 15-of-27 on two-point attempts.

Pringley scored 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting with 14 rebounds, Jeyvi Miavivululu poured in 19 points, Damiun Moore netted 13 and Kemp added 12 for Felician, which shot 56 percent (34-of-61) overall.

Getz netted 18 points, freshman Daniel Cooper (Homestead, FL) scored 14, senior Chris Gebhart (Cherry Hill, NJ) had 11 and 14 rebounds, Sameen Swint (Sicklerville, NJ) scored 11 points and fellow sophomore Parris Ridgeway-Higgs (New Castle, DE) added 10 for GBC (6-12, 3-7).

Goldey-Beacom is right back at it Tuesday at Georgian Court as part of a doubleheader with the women's team.  The men's game in Lakewood, NJ begins at 8:00 pm, following the women's 6:00 pm contest.
