NEWARK, Del. – Freshmen
Crystal McCollum (North East H.S./Elkton, Md.) and
Jordan Dodson (Perryville H.S./Port Deposit, Md.) each finished in the top 20 runners to lead Goldey-Beacom College to an eighth place finish among Division II and III teams at the University of Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek State Park on Saturday afternoon.
Rowan University earned the team championship with 35 points after posting five runners among the top 10 finishers. Meanwhile, the University of the Sciences and Saint Vincent College claimed second and third places, respectively.
McCollum completed the 6K race in a time of 26 minutes, 7 seconds to earn 14th place while Dodson crossed the finish line in a time of 26:28 to follow in 18th place.
Senior
Ashley Zaccaria (Gloucester City H.S./Gloucester City, N.J.) finished with a time of 29 minutes, 9 seconds to earn 63rd place while sophomore
Ariel Richardson (St. George's Tech H.S./New Castle, Del.) followed in 77th place with a time of 30:33.
