MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Senior outfielder Michelle Foster (Overbrook H.S./West Berlin, N.J.) collected three hits, but it was not enough as the Goldey-Beacom College softball team suffered a pair of losses against Millersville University (18-20) in a non-conference doubleheader at the Millersville University Softball Field on Monday afternoon.

The Marauders, who snapped a four-game losing streak, won both games by a 10-2 margin in six innings.

Foster, who extended her hitting streak to five games in a row, posted two hits in the first game while going one-for-three in the second game. She now has 151 career hits and needs just four hits to become the Lightning's all-time hits leader.

In addition, Foster drove in one of the Lightning's two runs in the fifth inning of the first game with a single to right field.

Meanwhile, freshman utility player Paulynn Mao (Rancho Alamitos H.S./Anaheim, Calif.) added a pair of hits while driving in both runs for the Lightning in the second game. She gave Goldey-Beacom a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the second game with a single to right center field before the Marauders tallied 10 straight runs to secure the victory.

The Lightning will finish their 11-game road trip on Thursday, Apr. 17 when they visit the University of the Sciences for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader against the Devils at 2:30 p.m.
