Philadelphia, Pa.- The Goldey-Beacom Lightning Women's Cross Country team finished in ninth place out of thirteen teams in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship meet held at Belmont Plateau on Sunday afternoon. The team crown was taken by Philadelphia University after posting a team score of 29.

The Lightning were led by freshman Crystal McCollum (North East H.S./ Elkton, Md.). McCollum posted a 5K time of 21:15 which was good for a 19th place finish overall.

Other finishers for the Lightning included Jordan Dodson (Perryvile H.S./ Port Deposit, Md.) with a time of 21:30 (23^rd place), Ashley Zaccaria (Gloucester City H.S./ Gloucester City, N.J.) with a time of 23:16 (51^st place), Lashae Lee (Joppatowne H.S./ Edgewood, Md.) with a time of 26:53 (77^th place), and Samia Blassengale (Delcastle H.S./ Newark, Del.) with a time of 27:38 (79^th place).
