CALDWELL, N.J. – For the third consecutive season, the Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team has put together three consecutive shutout victories as the Lightning posted a 9-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference win over Caldwell University at the Caldwell University Tennis Courts on Thursday afternoon.
With the win, the Lightning improve to 9-1 overall and remain in second place in the CACC standings with a 6-1 record. Meanwhile, Caldwell had a three-match win streak snapped as the Cougars fall to 4-6 overall and 2-5 in the CACC.
After sweeping the doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead, the Lightning claimed the first three singles flights in straight set fashion. They also earned 8-0 pro set wins in the bottom three singles flights.
