PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team secured a berth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament after posting its eighth win of the season, a 9-0 CACC victory over the University of the Sciences at the McNeil Field Courts on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lightning, who improved to 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the CACC, are currently in a tie for second place in the CACC standings with Chestnut Hill. They secured their seventh consecutive CACC playoff appearance with their second win in a row.
Goldey-Beacom won two of the three doubles matches by an 8-0 margin before sweeping all six singles matches in a straight-set fashion.
