Box Score Wilmington, Del.- The Goldey-Beacom College Women's Volleyball team (12-15, 6-11 CACC) were unable to string together a pair of wins as they were defeated by Georgian Court University Lions (16-12, 12-3 CACC) in three sets at the Joseph West Jones Center on Wednesday evening. Scores for the match were 25-16, 25-18, 26-24.
The Lions received an all-around effort in sweeping the Lightning with Jennifer Smith and Tatiana Rodriguez both tallying nine kills apiece. Kelsey Oliver set a game high with 33 assists in the win for the Lions.
The Lightning were led by senior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy. McCoy, fresh off a week that the CACC recognized her honorable mention player of the week honors, posted a game high 11 kills and also digging out 12 attack attempts by the Lions. For McCoy, it is her team leading 9
th "double double" of the season.
Sophomore libero
Mackenzie Wilson (Concord H.S./Wilmington, Del.) posted a team high 13 digs for the Lightning.
The Lightning will finish out their home schedule for the 2014 season on Thursday evening when the host Wilmington University at 7:00 PM. Goldey-Beacom will recognize their three seniors prior to the start of the match.
